Time triggered PHP?

Postby DuncanPent » Wed Jun 25, 2003 4:50 am

I was wondering if there was any way to create a portion of php which would run 3 times a day at set times?

Other than, of course, actually going to the page that contains the php 3 times a day.

Thanks

look into crontabs / cron / cron jobs on *nix systems, or just windows task scheduler on ummm windows.

and to complete pootergeist's suggestion with crontab, see http://www.littletechshoppe.com/servers/extensions/cron/crontab_5.html (simple online 'man')
