PHP with IBM DB2 Authentication for Windows 2000 server

Postby Gina » Fri Apr 25, 2003 7:25 am

I am running a Windows 2000 server with Apache 2. I have IBM DB2 v 8.1 database installed because this server is being used for stored procedures to connect to multiple iSeries systems.

I need to create a user authentication system to protect virtual hosts which have been created on the Windows server. I would like to use the DB2 database to store the user and passwords.

Does anyone know how to do this or have other ideas on how I can make the authentication work?

Thanks,
Gina

Hi Gina!
Actually engine of auth under PHP and any database it's very easy...
all what to you need to do create new databae and table for example
Code: Select all

DATABASE: site
TABLE: users
USERS(fields):
id, UserName, Passwd, eMail

and you just compare geting user date like name and passwd...
by the way you may using encoding UserName and passwd with key like eMail.
good luck!
