change return key to <br>

Postby mynmonic » Thu Apr 03, 2003 2:51 pm

I know the function nl2br() which is convert newline to <br>, which newline stand for '\n' here.

Now I want to convert every 'Enter' I press here in this textarea into <br> after I submit, and then write them into a file or db something. How can I perform this conversion?

Thanks
mynmonic

Use this:
Code: Select all
$yourstring = str_replace("\r\n","<br />",$yourstring);

It should do the trick... ;)
