Help for a novice...... (PHP/SQL)

Postby scisuk » Thu Mar 06, 2003 3:32 am

OK, I admit it, I am a complete novice - looking to learn PHP and complete a small little project at the same time.

I was wondering whether anyone can help me.....

I have created a table under SQL called scisuk.....

The database takes the following form:

Field one.... id
Field two.... username
Field three.... userfname
Field four.... usersname

id being a unique id
username being the username
userfname being the users forename
usersname being the users surname

This table will probably hold more information eventually - but I have kept it simple for the sake of learning :-)

The table has also had a few dummy records added to it so there is information in there.

Ok, here is what I want to do:

Create a PHP script, where the user enters their username, presses submit and it displays their existing information which they can edit and save.

Can anyone help with a script for this please?

Thanks,

Simon
