insertin double value

Could you please explain what you are expecting and what's actually happening.

There is one obvious problem at

$q1="INSERT INTO category( Category)
VALUES
( TRIM( '$_POST[category]' )) ";

The value isn't being retrieved properly. Should be something like

$q1="INSERT INTO category( Category)
VALUES
( TRIM( '".$_POST["category"]."' )) ";

This comes down to when accessing things like $_POST - you normally have to put the name of the field your after in quotes. This because it acts as an index - which is a string, and strings are normally enclosed in quotes.
