Help with modifying html code in mysql

Postby gabrielbc » Thu Aug 30, 2012 9:02 am

Hi. I need help modifying html code embedded in this php code.

The following code shows html text inbetween header and footer, as you may know. I need to modify the text this code fetches. Is there any simple way to do that? My php skills are very basic.

Thank you.

<?php include("header.php");

$data = $obj->GetData('*','admin_menu','id = 63');

$row_data=mysql_fetch_array($data);

?>

<!--Wrapper-->

<div class="wrapper">

<div class="middle"><!--Start Middle-->

<div class="main">

<!--Start Leftt-->

<div class="contain">

<?php echo $row_data['description']; ?>

</div><!--End Left-->

<!--Start Right-->

<!--End Right-->

<div class="clear"></div>

</div>

</div><!--End Middle-->

</div><!--Wrapper-->

<?php include("footer.php"); ?>

If you mean modify it dynamically (as opposed to just editing the html page) you'll need to add another set of php tags in the middle, e.g.
Code: Select all
<?php echo "your test"; ?>

What I really need is to know where to find the html code this php is summoning. Is it in a database, a simple php/html file? I need to change it and I have all the files (I own this website) but I don't know where it is.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly... if you're looking to modify the code you'll need to modify the php files that are being called, e.g. header.php. That file will be in the same directory as your html file.
