Recommended Server Program

Postby Virtuoso » Thu Jan 19, 2006 9:07 pm

Is there anything else besides Apache that you would recommend for Windows? Apache is just too..idk. But like, whenever I change a configuration, I have to restart it. Also, it doesn't have all the nifty features like mail stuff.

All info you can find in manual of PHP.
Apache
IIS
Sambar
Xitami
OmniHTTPd
Sun ONE Web Server
iPlanet
Netscape server

But I recommend use exactly Apache.
Apache is better and more flexible instead other....

Same here: i recommend ONLY apache as its the most flexible and stable server software.
Why restarting a server is such a problem? its les then 1 second to restart the server.

and if you are talking about a production enviroment: why are you changing the configuration so often?
