Postby katun » Fri Nov 04, 2005 6:59 am

I have installed IIS, PHP, MYSQL and finally all works,
but the IIS don't know about PHP extension and must to give the path like:
http://localhost/index.php
to find and execute the php file.

I want to change some settings to IIS recognize automatic index.php like default file!
Can anybody help me?

IIS is too problematic, I recommend you to install Apache, very easily configurable

That's it katun!
After that you can use Apache's DirectoryIndex directive.
Ex.:

Code: Select all

DirectoryIndex my_index_file.whatever

In IIS there is a Default File option under IIS within IIS Manager.
It list all default files the web browsers can use and also what order they are suppose to be selected also.
The top of the list is preferred with the next one preferred below each one in order.
