Well, as far as installing MySQL and PHP... If you are using a windows machine, I would recommend using foxserv 3.0, which you can get here. http://easynews.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/foxserv/FoxServ-3.0.exe
It has the latest versions of both, and is extremely simple to install. As far as information goes, the infamous http://php.net
is perfect. Good luck.

I recoment a Apache server for developing enviropment...
documentation at php.net (i recoment offline manuals)? mysql.com apache.org
and this forum...
also you need book for PHP and MySQL.
