Free PHP host with FTP no real limits on space/bandwidth

Postby FliesLikeABrick » Sat Nov 29, 2003 7:16 am

I run a small site out of my basement, my own server with Xitami and PHP, and i am working on getting an SQL server going. I am willing to host any site that is low traffic, and whose traffic does not include large files. i dont have any specific space/bandwidth limits, but within common sense/my judgement. You will get your own FTP account so that you can manage your site without any help from me. It is a fast server, speed is not a worry on this server. please ask if you have any questions. Even if you dont want it for PHP, i can host any html, small files, or pictures for you (smaller things like pictures can be high traffic)
PM me for more information

Intersting

I have been considering running a server myself. My main question is how do I get a fast enough line into my place to manage bandwidth traffic etc.

I am not sure where ur based. I am in Britain so BT is the dominant telecommunication network here. I was told getting a T1 line is the answer. Can u shed any light on this before I ring up BT?

Why not just find out on BT's own web site?

Internet & networking - Dedicated internet access

BTnet or BTnet Flex seems to be what you're looking for.

Nice one......

Before I thought one had to have their server in somewhere like telehouse.
