How to show random text that changes every 2 secs?

Sorry for the ignorance of this question, but I'm looking to show a selection of random quotes, and I want them to stay visible for 2-3 seconds each, then show the next one. Is this possible and is there an easy script out there ? Thanks in advance.

You can use javascript with setTimeout(), then you can refresh a page or call some ajax...
