Full Text Indexes

Postby Joel » Sat Jul 12, 2003 8:56 pm

Hi. Does anybody know if the 50% threshold in Full text indexes can be lifted? Even in Boolean mode, the threshold seems to be there. To test this out I made a 'play' database containing about 15 PHP tutorials. they of course, would all have PHP in them, but when I search by PHP it still does not return anything.

A quick and painless search of the docs revealed that the threshold can be turned off (though not adjusted), but only at compile-time. So if you're prepared to recompile, this is trivially easy. If not, you're out of luck for now.

Well, I'm semi-game for it. I don't think I'll bother however. The search engine should be alright how it is.
