Chain PHP commands anyone?

Postby lister » Tue Sep 10, 2013 11:02 am

I am wondering if I am correct by saying that you can (easily?) connect two dropdown php commands?

This is what I mean...

Dropdown 1 on the left of the page asks for fruit types:

apples
pears
peaches

Dropdown 2 on the right of the page asks for preferred locations (where fruit is grown)

sweden
belgium
france

--------------

So the end result is that data can be shown for, for example, 'pears' from 'Sweden' -

-------------

I am guessing that this is using the AND function in MySQL? My question is - what is the key to doing this, is there a term or resource or method that needs to be applied?

Thanks for all help with understanding this
