MySQL error max-users

Postby Beady » Mon May 05, 2003 1:14 am

Hi,

I have a site that uses PHP/MySQL extensively. On some individual pages I have calls to four separate tables. After browsing the site for a few moments users are receiving a MySQL error -
Server has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections.

Is this some sort of coding error? Is it likely to be something that I have done? or is it a value that the host can change.

I'd like to know before I start shouting at them. Can some one please enlighten me.

Thanks,
Bernard Davis

Have a look at this article, you'll find it useful:

Many thanks.

It looks then as though they've set an arbitrary value for max_user_connections.

I'll go shout at them.

Cheers

another thing that might be happening is everytime you query you open a new connection without closing it when you are finished.
