php object that control mySQL db

Hi all,

I wonder if there is a posebility to create an onject that completly control mysql db.
meaning inserting, deleate, selecting etc.
I know that fetch ca help and all...
but I was wondering if and object can log in to the db and thrue it I'll be able to control the db without calling it all the time.

You can use PDO and create a new instance of the PDO class to control the database, is that what you mean? Take a look at the manual pages for PDO http://ca2.php.net/manual/en/book.pdo.php
