That's very odd indeed. I recommend that you just try reinstalling it.

It seems strange but stilll
try
- Code: Select all
shell> mysql -u root -p mysql
Check with this.. i mean try using root as the user... !

while you first install MySQL you have a main user root but this user not have a password.....
