Install MySQL on SUN Solaris

Postby wmdrumaizi » Sun Jun 15, 2003 7:28 pm

Hi guys, could someone please tell me how to install MySQL server on Solaris machine.

Is it possible to have MySQL installed on Solaris and PHP script on Windows machine with IIS? Because I was planning to move all the database we have (any format) to Solaris and leave the PHP script on Win2K.

If it is possible, how do I use PHP to connect to the server instead of "localhost"?

I'm totally have no idea....

Thanks and regards
