How to transfer a MYSQL database from one webhost to another

I have a simple database maintained on a website which I need to move to another webhost's server. The site I have was coded with PHP and MYSQL a few years ago but my web-developer is no longer available

Can anyone tell me the steps necessary to move this database? (I can handle HTML and simple programming concepts but have no experience with MYSQL)

I don think that man who have zero knowleges about porgraming can do this.
