File Transfer Protocol (often abbreviated as FTP) is the standard protocol used if you want to copy files from one computer to another networked computer. In addition, there's also what we call, Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). From the word itself, it's more secure because it encrypts the transmission of password.
