As it stands I have installed xampp and have been writing my code inside dreamweaver, this method worked pretty well right up to my first error. So since I really needed a debugger to help identify what the problem might be it seemed obvious to start using one of the IDE's... learning PHP does not seem too bad but learning how to install it seems to be another matter entirely!
All I really want is to be able to write, test and preview php inside an IDE. I have access to Eclipse and Zend but have no idea how to get them use the server on xampp or set up one just for them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
