won't run .php files asks to save

Postby triad40001 » Sat Aug 16, 2003 5:59 pm

Trying to install php 4.3.2 but keeps asking to save files when running through a browser.

Read that I had to make updates to httpd.conf apache file to recognise .php files but it already contains the following lines:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

Anyone have any ideas.

regards

Please read the PHP installation documentation (install.txt) completely and thoroughly. It tells you everything you need to know. If you have only added those lines to your httpd.conf, you also need to add LoadModule and (in Apache <2) AddModule lines. This is all in the documentation.
