Excessive resource usage after upgrade

Postby JonathanM » Thu May 23, 2013 10:25 pm

Hi, I had my dedicated servers PHP version updated from 5.2.17 to 5.3.25. (I have about 50 websites running under cpanel)
Since then I have received lot of "Excessive resource usage" alerts from configserverfirewall:

Time: Wed May 22 11:08:15 2013 +0300
Account: clientaccount-here
Resource: Virtual Memory Size
Exceeded: 261 > 200 (MB)
Executable: /usr/bin/php
Command Line: /usr/bin/php /home/clientaccount-here/public_html/index.php
PID: 19157 (Parent PID:18591)
Killed: No

This started right after the update so I cannot think anything else that could cause this? Do you know what might be the reason for this and is this normal behaviour or not? Does the new version just consume a bit more resources?

I get this alert repeatedly from most of my client accounts, and they are using different kind of cms or webshop platforms.
