Please Help on Installing Php

hi, i already tried several times downloading php and install it on my laptop. After that i tried a simple php code that i saw in one of the site and save it. I tried to run it but the text that must be seen in the web page doesn't show. can you help me how to install php and mysql? i am using windows xp OS.

but your first mistake is using Windows.
The next mistake is using XP..

But if you must use both of these, either one of these, or any of these..
Try using an installer that does everything for you.

Do a google search for WAMP Server
Or.. just go directly to WAMPSERVER.COM's website.
