expandable image/layer ?

Hi guys,

May i know how did they accomplish the expand and close image inside a browser.. this is one example from Dell website to show promo items :

did they use javascript ?? may i know where to get reference to accomplish this ??

btw, what is this expand and close image feature like in the dell website called ? is it called javascript Panoramic Window expandable ?
