What books would you recommend for beggining to learn css and javascript? I have heard good things and bad about the bible and I tried the Javascript and Dhtml cookbook but it was difficult to read does anyone have suggestions?

Css is an relatively easy language to master, the difficult part comes into play when you want to do complex overlapping lay-outs etc.
Just use online resources, like W3schools, youtube etc.
No need to buy a book!
If you really want to buy a book though, take a HTML & Css begginers guide book.
And as always practice A LOT!

Hi, ilagrosha!

You can check http://www.w3schools.com/
You can learcn CSS there as easy as 1, 2, 3.
There are also lots of available PDFs about the CSS tutorials out in the internet.
You can check these out:
http://down.jool.ch/webdev/The-Essential-Guide-to-Dreamweaver-CS3-with-CSS-Ajax-and-PHP.pdf

http://webdesign.about.com/od/books/tp/best-css-books.htm

I hope this helps. Thank you.
