Moved to HTML Basics. This has nothing to do with PHP. Something like this would do fine:

Code: Select all

<html>
   <head>
      <style type="text/css">
         textarea#mytextbox {
            width: 400px;
            height: 400px;
            text-align: justify;
         }
      </style>
   </head>
   <body>

      <form>
         <textarea id="mytextbox"></textarea>
      </form>
   </body>
</html>

I do not want to use frames

Right you are. Looks like the textarea element doesn't support the justify attribute.

I can't think of another way to do this without seriously jeopardizing the potential usability of your site. In fact, justifying text in a textarea seems pretty counter-intuitive anyway -- users expect textareas to behave in a very particular way. Making textarea input justified doesn't really have any potential benefit (aesthetic? I don't think so..). What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish by doing this?
