I am initiating a PHP based CMS project and looking for interested devs who would like to volunteer.
Now, there is phpnuke, postnuke, phpwebsite and many other CMS already available. Why another one, you might ask?
While i've no major complaints on any of them, most of them are basically restriced in some senses. For instance, one can change the theme of any of these sites but changing a layout of the site is not that simple. The result? all sites look more or less the same with three columns.
Similarly all these sites are basically restricted as news publishing sites. I am planning to create something that will allow the members to be able to do more stuff (like be able to setup a small catalog and sell/buy items etc..) Basically all this requires a system to be designed from the ground up to support them.
If you're interested in contributing to this open source effort, please take a look at http://netlogger.net
