As the Senior Web Developer you will need to demonstrate a high level of competency in handling complex problems that require good judgment, ingenuity, and decision-making.
You will be tasked with managing multiple client web and interactive projects ensuring timely delivery, project completion and client satisfaction.
We are looking for someone who appreciates the design process and desires to recreate, to the pixel, the vision of the designers. You should be able to talk about the user experience and interaction with the site or application in a way that all members who work with the project understand. You should feel comfortable discussing strategy and explore solutions with non-technical members. You should also be able to prioritize, plan and manage your time and other developers across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Code websites in CSS, XHTML,HTML5, JavaScript,YUI3, PHP V5, Zend Framework, MySQL V5
Add new features, modify and support existing code and databases, for existing websites
Transform designs (Ai,ID,Ps) to standards-based, SEO-friendly, accessible, fast-loading, compliant websites
Knowledge of LAMP stack, as well as high comfort level with hosting environments
Mobile development of iPhone and Android – hand coding, or using frameworks such as JQTouch or Appcelerator Titanium
Assist with scheduling and budgeting of technology jobs
Maintain a workable coding environment- bug and issue tracking, version control

Applications/ Methodologies: ExpressionEngine, MVC frameworks, AGILE, Zend Framework, Coda, MySQL, SQL Server, Apache, CS5 Photoshop, Illustrator), Subversion, MS Office (Word, Excel)

Knowledge of designing database schema, and setup/administration of MySQL databases using PHPMyAdmin
Self-starter with high standards, able to work independently or on a team and open about offering options/solutions
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Experience working with Web hosting companies
Ability to use Photoshop for cutting-up [pixel-perfect] designs: creating individual buttons/images based on larger graphic design model, and optimizing for Web use as JPEG or GIF files
An understanding of Search Engine Optimization techniques as it pertains to content placement, use of mod_rewrite for search engine friendly URL’s, good use of H1, H2, ALT tags and customized Titles and Descriptions
An understanding of XML and Web Services
Experience with creating Adobe Flash/ActionScript
Education
A minimum of four (4) years experience in a similar position is required.
