How to use the $php_self.......?

Hi...

Could anyone give me a brief orientation of the $php_self and how to use it? Know that it is useful but dont know how to use it...

Or if you could give me a link to a tutorial it would be fine....cant find any myself....

It's now $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] and it's used just to find the path to the file you're working on.
