Why does my page do this?

Postby MaxDax » Tue Dec 02, 2003 12:40 pm

Hi

This is driving me nuts

If I use this URL - http://www.dtbt.com/contact.php everything works fine.

However if I add a '/' character after the URL like this -
http://www.dtbt.com/contact.php/ it falls to pieces. Why??

Comments, suggestions, clues all gratefully accepted

Cheers

Because when you add a / to the end of something, the browser assumes it's a directory, so all your paths (particularly the one to your stylesheet) get screwed up. The solution: don't add a / at the end of a filename. Or just use absolute paths for everything.
