Crontab with oracle access

Postby rararipe » Mon Nov 24, 2003 11:43 am

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a problem using php with oracle executed by crontab (linux) ?

I'm recieving the following error:

<b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined function: ociplogon() in <b>/home/veirano/www/system/adodb/drivers/adodb-oci8.inc.php</b> on line <b>129</b><br>

But this function(ociplogon) is "php native".

No, actually, you're mistaken -- the Oracle extension isn't enabled by default. Make sure you've compiled it in and/or enabled it in php.ini.

My OCI8 support is enable in my php server (as you can see below). Actually, I have an application accessing the same
oracle data base (by browser), and I'm trying to perform an asynchronous task, by "crontab", to send some e-mails at night.

But this task needs to access the oracle data base to get some informations like e-mail address and so on.
When I try to start this task, from "crontab", I receive the error mentioned earlier.

OCI8 Support enabled
Revision $Revision: 1.169.2.3 $
Oracle Version 8.1
Compile-time ORACLE_HOME /usr/oracle/product/8.1.7
