file icons

file icons

Hi,

I wonder if anybody knows how to get the icon (in windows) corresponding to the file type...Cuz all my clients (browser) will be using windows

I dont knw if its possible because the server apache, php that I use is under Linux Debian 3.0 and as php is server side...
If you have some ideas

What are you talking about? File icons are setting on the client's machine, and you can't change those settings via their web browser.

One thing you can do is allow directory listing in Apache for the specific folder and then in httpd.conf file you can add the directive AddIcon for .php, you can see a lot many such directives given already, make sure you create your .gif or .jpg file and place it accordingly!
