Over the years developers were using both these languages according to their respective requirements. Earlier the work of both the languages was crisp and clear. PHP supervised all the server-side tasks and Java took care of all the little details on the browser. The unity was going well until Java decided to run on the server as well making PHP’s next-generation server stack useless. After the invention of Node.js, both the languages started the fight to stay on the top of developers mind. Today both languages are reaching great heights by improving and expanding their domain. Continue reading to understand the usage of PHP and Java.
Why PHP is Better

• One of the main reason that PHP runs on most of the websites is that it offers CMS (Content Management System) at the back-end

• Shortly after its birth, PHP became high in demand and popular. Today most of the web hosting servers support PHP by default.

• It supports various databases like Sybase, Oracle, and MySQL.

• Since PHP is a cross-platform language, developers can easily deploy their application on various operating systems like Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.
Today most of the companies use PHP in their programming. Facebook, Wikipedia, Yahoo, Tumblr are a few companies using PHP.

Why Java is not Better Comparison to PHP

• JVM (Java Virtual Machine)
• JRE (Java Runtime Environment)
• JDK(Java Development Kit)

Now let us understand why Java is used so extensively.

• Java openly supports the concept of WORA and allows the application written on one platform to be ported on another platform. This feature of ‘platform independence’ has made millions of developers to use Java.

• Java has a high-security level. Once the codes are compiled, they are then converted into bytecodes (Humans cannot understand bytecodes). Any program that is written using Java is virus free.

• The JRE (Java runtime environment) helps in interpreting the converted bytecodes.

• Because of its adaptability to changing the environment, java prevents memory wastage and enhances the performance of any application.

• Because of its robust memory management system, the errors are eliminated during compiling and runtime.

Today Java is being used in many different industries like, Banking, Retail, Information Technology, Android, Financial services, Stock market, Hadoop Framework, Scientific and Research Community and many more.

Java and JavaScript are completely different languages.

A CMS is not exclusive to PHP, there are no language constructs which are exclusive to PHP which mean that it is the only language that you can write a CMS in.

JAVA provides database connectivity.

JAVA and PHP are cross platform.
Any program that is written using Java is virus free.
Now you really are showing how little you know, and how a little knowledge is dangerous, please do not promote this idea any more.
Because of its adaptability to changing the environment, java prevents memory wastage and enhances the performance of any application.
Because of its robust memory management system, the errors are eliminated during compiling and runtime.
More incorrect rubbish.

You really have no right peddling this, all that you have done is show that you do not know what you are talking about. I presume that this has been cut and edited from various articles which also didn't know what they were talking about or have been taken out of context and badly pieced together.

It's difficult enough learning program development without such rubbish confusing the situation, please stop.
