Novice what does 3600 stand for below ?

Postby nighttraindb » Wed Aug 13, 2014 12:31 am

$from_ts = $cron ? time() - 3600 * 4 : strtotime($_POST['from']);
$str = ($from == $to ? "ON \"$from\"" : "SINCE \"$from\" BEFORE \"".date('d M Y', $to_ts + 3600 * 24)."\"")." $type";

I am a novice to PHP and intend on learning however in the mean time I have to slightly edit programs I had someone else develop.

The only question I have is what does the 3600 stand for ?

Hi,
It's the number of seconds in an hour. In php, times are often expressed as seconds, so 3600 * 4 would be 4 hours.
