Unable to validate

Postby qim » Thu Feb 13, 2014 5:18 am

W3c validator throws 2 errors as follows, which I can't work out:

Validation Output: 2 Errors
Line 1, Column 1: character "M" not allowed in prologMake sure you create your redirects.txt file and that it is readable by the red…

Line 1, Column 96: end of document in prolog…eate your redirects.txt file and that it is readable by the redirect script</p>

This error may appear when the validator receives an empty document. Please make sure that the document you are uploading is not empty, and report any discrepancy.

and this is the beginning of the file:

<?php

$id = isset( $_GET['id'] ) ? rtrim( trim( $_GET['id'] ), '/' ) : 'default';
$f = fopen( 'redirects.txt', 'r' );
$urls = array();

// The file didn't open correctly.
if ( !$f ) {
echo 'Make sure you create your redirects.txt file and that it is readable by the redirect script</p>';
die;
}

Help!!!

Thank you
