Displaying SQL content in a new page

Postby sampharo » Thu Sep 05, 2013 6:56 pm

Hi everyone,

My website is currently built in a way where a list of courses is displayed in a list form, with the information populated from an SQL database. Each course name acts as an html link that displays the course details and information into a lightbox.

Code: Select all
<td valign="top"><a href="javascript:ShowCourseDet('<?php print $row_sub['crs_id']; ?>');"><?php print $this->ShowVal($row_sub['crs_name']); ?></a></td>

I discovered recently that this is really bad for SEO and none of the course contents are seen by crawlers.

I need to change this code to put the course details into a new fresh page rather than a lightbox, OR do something else to this programming to allow the contents of the course details to be seen by crawlers.

Any advice?

This is the whole section of this table

Code: Select all
                            <tr>
                                <td valign="top"><a href="javascript:ShowCourseDet('<?php print $row_sub['crs_id']; ?>');"><?php print $this->ShowVal($row_sub['crs_name']); ?></a></td>
                                <td valign="top"><?php print $this->ShowVal($row_sub['crs_location']); ?></td>
                                <td valign="top" nowrap><?php print $row_sub['start_date'].' - '.$row_sub['end_date']; ?></td>
                                <td valign="top" align="right"><?php print $row_sub['crs_price']; ?></td>
                                <td valign="top">   <input name="send" type="submit" class="button2" id="send2" value=""onclick="window.location='register.php?course=<?php print $row_sub['crs_id']; ?>'" />   </td>
                            </tr>
