PhP and Paypal
Posted: Wed Jul 02, 2003 10:36 pm
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good php tutorial
that teaches how to use paypal.
1)The user enters data
2)This imformation is sent to paypal
3)Paypal sends back a message accepting
or denying the validity of the user input.
4)All this info is placed in a relevant database.

Created by Russians?I've read several of
Aleksandre Solzhenitsyn's books.
My favourites are the "Inner circle" and "a day in the
life of Ivan desonovitch".Good reading.
Also Wizard I was wondering,I don't have a credit card,
Is it really difficult to use two separate bank accounts, one
as a buyer,one as a seller to test a PhP/paypal script?
Would you know the answer?

If you dont have credit card, then you might as well forget paypal. Well when I signed up I needed one anyways, which was about 18 months ago. Anyways, I think paypal also has a shopping cart of their own which you can use, if that at all relates to your question/search.

If I have to get another creditcard ,I don't think I'd
bother with paypal.
I guess they're just another shyster company anyway.
I haven't had a creditcard in years.

You don't need a credit card to use paypal. All you need is a savings account. You can transfer funds back and forth.
The only time you would need a credit card is when you want to pay with paypal on a non-paypal site.

What I was looking for was a cheap online credit verification company unlike verisign that doesn't charge through the roof!!!
I thought paypal might do.Not now!

You know Redcircle,it appears as liquedus said. If you're not in the U.S.A (I'm in Canada) then it does appear that you need a creditcard to use paypal.
I'll check out that Paysystems place. Thanks a lot.
Also,I was looking at both your guys websites.Very impressive.
I'd be interested in knowing what graphical tools you used.
