saving a into an existing DB

Hi,

I'm new to PHP and would love some help:

I have a table and I want to take details from a row in the table and save it to an existing DB..

1) How do I take a value from a row?
2) How can I add something to an existing DB using PHP?

What do you mean by table? Excel table or database table? If it is database table, you have to get the row (all the values or only the ones you need) with a simple select statement and then insert the values in the new table.
OR
You can use INSERT INTO ..... (SELECT ... FROM ...) statement.
