Accented characters problem

I have a problem with accented chars on my server.
I did a test to make the page as pure html file and it works.
Perhaps then it is the version of php .... who knows
What could I check?

Both are working fine here.

Did you try to use other charset than UTF8?

You can create a function to overwrite all data that will be output and change the special characters for it's html code, like &#029.
