$PHP_SELF variable access problem

Postby ruturajv » Sat Mar 29, 2003 2:18 am

I can't get the $PHP_SELF variable? I use PWS and CGI version of PHP.
And I'm not able to get any variables with get and post, does $name_of_object in the form help to get the value.? Should I set something in PHP.ini? The register_globals is turned OFF

reg_global - off

$_POST['var_name']
$_GET['var_name']

$_SERVER['SERVER_VARIABLE'] - eg $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] (note, case sensitive + upper case

$_SESSION['var_name']
$_COOKIE['var_name']

note also the single quotes around the index (could use double - do use quotes though or you'll get an 'undefined index...assuming ' notice)
