file problems

hello,
i have a little problem with files on a linux system. i built a page with windows and i linked files this way

$aaa = fopen("data/about.txt","r");

under my host which is http://www.host.sk it doesn't work, but on windows it does. anyone know why?

Try CHMOD 755 on that file, and if that doesn't work, 777! I suspect it's to do with the file permissions.
