Getting Around Configuration Options

Postby MadMed » Sat Aug 10, 2002 11:06 pm

Hello everyone,

Here is a challange...
I am currently getting a hosting service where my online store cannot upload any pictures of products because /tmp is not letting the script do so. I spoke to the administrator of the server about making changes but he wouldn't :( for security reasons.
Next step was to try ini_set('upload_tmp_dir','/my/own/temp'); but it keeps failing and returning False

Can anyone find a solution to my problem :?:

Regards,
MadMed

Jay

Change your host? If your admin has disabled this, he's possibly disabled the file upload feature. At the end of the day, if it was that easy to circumvent administrator's settings, there would be no point in having an admin.
