AOL dumps my messages!

Postby Martin Pickering » Mon Jan 02, 2006 3:50 am

My automatic replies to AOL users get trashed and I wondered if I should add something to the headers? Or is AOL able to detect that I'm using a false "From" address?

Code: Select all
$headers = "Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n";
mail($MFrom,"Re: " . $MailSubject,"
$reply
","From: nobody@satcure.com" . "\r\n"  . $headers . "\r\n");

Thanks for any suggestions.

Martin

most of the systems, use the subject line, body, and then assign spam ("get trashed")
Try changing the subject line to a more natural one.

Thanks for your reply. Having now read AOL's email policy and a lot of web sites dealing with this problem, I see that I don't have a cat's chance of getting my mail through. Therefore I will manage without AOL-using customers.
