using mail() in absence of SMTP server

Postby neill@ktwo.co.uk » Thu Feb 10, 2005 4:09 am

Very new to this so be gentle :)

My ISP doesn't offer an SMTP server as default, therefore my mail() function does not work. Is there an alternative function? Or a work-around of another sort?

there are plenty of free open SMTP servers.. just search for them
and change the smtp settings in php.ini accordingly or do ini_set
