good tutorial on images galleries? or file directorys?!

i am wanting to make a image gallery for a site of mine, and i would like a tutorial to be able to do this then it can be done again and i will learn somthing tbh!

There are many different ways that you can accomplish a gallery. Are you using a database? do you want to track views? photo voting? comments? uploads?

I don't know about a tutorial but if you have a question about how to do something I'll be glad to help.
