how to make gd library working with php4?

i just want to know i can make php4 working with png,jpeg ...
i'm actually running a linux machine and apache as webserver , i cannot really save gif, jpeg ... images, please tell me what i can do ?.

do you want to compile the php with gd or your gd is not correctly working ?

download the gd library from http://www.boutell.com/gd/
then configure php [compiling php from source ]
../configure --with-gd=/path to library
for more information read the INSTALL,README files that come with gd library.. :arrow:
which linux flavor you are using .?
