Show text when hover over an image

Hi everybody,

I have a simple page that is showing some images (nothing more, nothing less).
Now, I want to create a hover over but not with an image, but with some text.
I am really lost in finding the solution and would really appreciate any help here.

Oh, and I don't mean the simple text you can see with alt and title.
I mean a nice image where I can put some text in.

Tried it and now I'm half way my solution.
I now want the tooltips that are in the js in this solution have them loaded from the database table.

How do I do that?

AJAX.

You would have make the hover action trigger an AJAX call that calls a separate page with arguments.

That page will talk to the database and return html that can be put into the tooltip division.

Here is the W3Schools link that talks about AJAX. It is a concept that takes some people a little while to wrap their head around. If you get stuck let me know and I will try to walk you through it.
