i want to do a picture gallery with thumbs (small images) and one big picture on the SAME page as the thumbs. I don't want to use popup windows to show the big picture (don't like pop ups).

Is it possible with php to have a page of thumbs and if you click on one, the big picture is loaded on the same page. Is this possible without reloading the whole page. Is it possible to reload only the big picture?

thanks for any help.

You would have to use JavaScript. just note if you have a lot of pictures you would get poor performance if it has to pre-load all the images

This can be done using an IFRAME tag on your page to contain the full size image. The main page can have all the thumbnails which are hyperlinks that target the IFRAME.
