Access Denied

When I try to connect to MySQL using a front end such as phpMyAdmin 2.3.3 or SQLyog (http://www.webyog.com/index.html) I get the following error:

MySQL returned:

Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)

How can I resolve this problem??

password for root isnt empty =)

edit your config.inc.php file
