change it to 'localhost' that should work. Most shared servers use that as their dbhost.

Hi,
I have changed the i.p address to 'localhost'. But i am still confronted with an error message, can be seen at -

Am i still missing something? I have emailed my web host a number of times and i know for a fact the server supports MySql. I have download a number of files including MySqladmin 1.4 and MySql Control Centre, both from MySql.com. I'm also having problems connecting to my webspace using the Control Centre. I keep getting the following error message - ERROR 1130: Host 'm122-mp1.cvx1-b.gfd.dial.ntli.net' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server.

Contact your Host and get the correct information from them. It sounds like they have a restriction setup so you can only connect from approved internet connections.

Alternatively, you could check out MySQL-Front. It's the coolest MySQL client for Windows that I've seen. Haven't used it heaps, but it seems to work well.
